Guillemette Masse Ranson, PhD, is a Scientific Director at Moderna since August 2020, previously holding positions as Associate Scientific Director and Principal Scientist in Platform Immunology. Prior to Moderna, Guillemette worked at the Institut Pasteur from February 2013 to November 2019 as a Project Leader in preclinical applications, focusing on infectious diseases and the establishment of a humanized mouse facility, as well as leading projects in immunology and virology using humanized mouse models. Earlier experience includes serving as Project Leader in Retrovirology at Viroxis SAS, where antigen optimization for HIV vaccines was a key focus, and a post-doctoral role at Institut Cochin - INSERM studying HIV-1 latency mechanisms. Guillemette earned a Ph.D. in Immunology from Université Paris Cité, where the research centered on the role of gammac-dependent cytokines in T cell differentiation, after completing a Master’s in Genetics at the same institution.
