Zhen Zhang

Zhen Zhang is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in antibody discovery and protein engineering, currently serving as Head of Antibody Discovery and Engineering at Moderna since March 2015. Prior positions include Director, Interim Head of Biotherapeutics, and Associate Director, where Zhen managed antibody discovery and immuno-oncology programs. Previous roles at Dana Farber Cancer Institute included leading a universal flu vaccine project, while a postdoctoral tenure at Columbia University resulted in significant findings related to transmembrane signaling mechanisms. Zhen's early research experience includes work at Baylor College of Medicine, Peking University, and Jilin University, culminating in a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Baylor College of Medicine and advanced degrees in Chemistry from Peking University and Jilin University.
