Chris Adams

Chris Adams, PhD, currently serves as the Systems Engineering Group Manager at Sunnybrook, leading a team in the development of a distributed FPGA-accelerated real-time image guidance tool. With prior experience as a Lead Systems Engineer, Chris developed automated tools for analyzing large datasets to ensure system safety and reliability. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, Chris contributed to the conformal array project by reviewing and enhancing firmware design. Before joining Sunnybrook, Chris worked at the University of Leeds as an Experimental Officer and PhD Candidate, specializing in ultrasound electronics and algorithms. Early career experience includes recognition as a Hardware Engineer at Leonardo, receiving awards for contributions during NATO field trials and innovations in pulse discrimination. Chris holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Leeds and a BEng in the same field from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
