Laura Powell

Laura Powell, MBA, has a diverse work experience in human resources management. Laura is currently working as a Human Resources Director at Modine Manufacturing Company since July 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Human Resources Operations Manager at API Heat Transfer from November 2021 to July 2023.

Before that, Laura worked at Snap-on Tools, where they held multiple roles. As a Human Resources Manager from November 2018 to November 2021, they collaborated with hiring managers to improve recruitment and retention. Laura also introduced a performance assessment program and manager training, resulting in increased employee satisfaction. As a Human Resources Generalist from November 2016 to November 2018, Laura implemented cost-saving measures in recruiting and improved the diversity of new hires.

Laura's earlier experience includes roles at Marcus Theatres. During their time as a Human Resources Coordinator from June 2014 to November 2016, they implemented HR software, improving employee relations and reducing turnover. As a Field Operations Human Resources from January 2010 to July 2014, Laura provided HR support and implemented new HR policies to increase customer service metrics.

Laura Powell, MBA, earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UW-Parkside, completing their studies from 2011 to 2014. In addition to their academic achievements, they hold certifications in Strategic HR Business Partner from the Human Capital Institute (HCI), obtained in October 2019, and Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR) from AIRS, an ADP Company, obtained in June 2018.
