Shelby Napier has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2015, they worked as an Information Specialist and secretary at the Brown County Visitors Center, where they greeted tourists and provided them with directions and recommendations. From 2017 to 2018, Shelby was a Peer Support Specialist at Centerstone, assisting clients in their recovery from mental illness and substance abuse. During that time, they also worked as an Office Professional, handling administrative tasks. In 2018, Shelby served as a Library Assistant at the Johnson County Public Library. From 2020 to 2022, they worked as a Community Moderator and Social Engagement Representative, ensuring compliance with community policies and engaging with members online. Shelby has also been self-employed as a Freelance Writer since 2009. Their most recent role is as a Content Moderator at ModSquad, which they started in September 2021.

Shelby Napier obtained a Certification in Bible/Biblical Studies from Crown College from 2017 to 2019. Shelby also obtained an additional certification from the same institution in June 2019.
