Software Architect at Modular Automation

Alan Curley has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering, automation, and controls. Alan started their career in 2000 as a Test Technician at EMC and then moved on to work as a Debug Technician at 3Com in 2001. In 2002, they joined Vistakon (J&J) Vision Care, National Technology as a Software Engineer. Alan continued working at Vistakon as a Software / Automation & Control Engineer from 2004 to 2018. In 2018, they joined Crest Solutions as a Machine Vision Application Engineer and then moved to Modular Automation as a Senior Controls Engineer. Alan is currently working at Modular Automation as a Software Architect.

Alan Curley completed their Master's Degree in Automation Software from Limerick Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a BSc. in Electronic Systems with a focus on Electronics & Automation from Limerick Institute of Technology in 2003-2004. In addition to their formal education, Alan also obtained certifications in Microsoft Project Management: Choose the Right Tool for the Job and Software Architecture: From Developer to Architect from LinkedIn in October 2022 and March 2022, respectively.
