Veena Satish

Veena Satish is the VP of People & Culture at MoEngage. Veena has over 6 years of experience in Human Resources, and has spent the last 4 years at Walmart Global Tech India as the Director of Human Resources.

At Walmart, Veena specializes in implementing a transformational talent agenda, which includes engaging, developing and retaining the very best talent, providing proactive and strategic guidance support for organizational planning and development initiatives at scale. Veena is responsible for aligning the human resources agenda to support key business strategies and initiatives, while identifying gaps and driving action plans to close them. In this capacity, they have played a pivotal role in advising and influencing all levels of the company on performance management, and, organizational development and effectiveness.

Over the past 4 years, Veena has established a track record of effectively leading and coaching teams, building partnerships and resolving mission-critical challenges. Some of the work they are most proud of includes re-engineering the span of control, rewards & recognition and internal job rotation framework across the organization, streamlining the organizational pyramid to boost managerial effectiveness and driving process efficiency through next-generation digitization projects.

Veena is also heavily invested in the Walmart diversity and inclusion ethos, and has collaborated, planned and led diversity initiatives like the Women’s Resource Council and the Grace Hopper Conference.

After completing their BCom from Mysore University, Veena Satish pursued a post graduation in Business Management from XLRI. Veena also has a certification from Thomas Profiling in DISC.
