Prabha Amarasinghe

Prabha Amarasinghe, PhD, is a skilled research scientist with extensive experience in molecular biology, biotechnology, and genomics. Currently serving as Research Scientist II at MOgene since February 2022, Prabha has expertise in next-generation sequencing and has developed effective standard operating procedures for complex DNA and RNA projects. Previously, as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Cooperative Agricultural Research Center, Prabha contributed to significant biotechnology research on industrial hemp, resulting in publications and a patent in progress. Prabha's academic background includes a PhD in Botany from the University of Florida, alongside teaching and research roles at several prestigious institutions, leading to significant funding and impactful publications.
