Chris Wilson

Senior Scientist at Molecular Assemblies

Chris Wilson has worked in the biotechnology industry since 2006. Chris'sfirst position was a Research Associate at Vertex Pharmaceuticals through Affinity Scientific, where they cloned mutation prone pain receptor genes and profiled expression levels of target genes in ganglions. In 2007, they moved to Invitrogen, where they served as a Production Assistant II and was responsible for manufacturing and providing quality control for molecular biology products. In 2010, they joined Genomatica as a Senior Research Associate I, where they were responsible for cloning and testing candidate pathway genes. From 2013 to 2016, Chris worked at SGI-DNA, Inc. as a Senior Production Associate 2, where they designed cloning strategies to produce difficult DNA sequences. Most recently, they have been a Research Associate 4 at Molecular Assemblies, Inc. since 2019.

Chris Wilson obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis in 1998. Chris then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Biochemistry from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) which they completed in 2004.
