Shih-Chi Hsu

Shih-Chi Hsu has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. From 2000 to 2003, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and later as a Research Assistant at Academia Sinica, Taiwan, where they conducted biomedical research under the guidance of Dr. Jung San Huang. From 2004 to 2010, they worked at UC Davis as a Graduate Student Researcher and later as a Junior Specialist, focusing on projects related to plant sciences and protein studies under the supervision of Dr. Kentaro Inoue.

In 2011, Shih-Chi Hsu joined Boyce Thompson Institute, Cornell University as a Postdoctoral Associate, working in the laboratory of Dr. David Stern on the engineering of C. elegans. Following that, from 2017 to 2019, they worked at Microsynbiotix, Ltd. as a Senior Scientist, specializing in the development of oral vaccines for aquaculture disease management using microalgae. Shih-Chi obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of California, Davis, spanning from 2003 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from National Taiwan University, studying from 1998 to 2002.
