Robert Schmalzigaug

Sr. Application Scientist & Product Owner at Molecular Devices

Robert Schmalzigaug has a diverse work experience. Robert started their career as a Graduate Student at the University of Zurich in 1995 and worked there until 1999. Robert then joined Duke University Medical Center as a Post-doctoral Fellow from 2000 to 2002 and later became a Research Scientist from 2002 to 2012. In 2012, they joined Olympus America Inc. as a Product Manager until 2014. Robert then briefly worked at Sensapex as a Product Marketing Manager in 2014. In 2015, they founded Blue Dragon Bioimaging and worked there until 2018. Currently, they are working at Molecular Devices as a Sr. Application Scientist & Product Owner since 2018.

Robert Schmalzigaug completed their PhD in Cell Biology from Teesside University, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. Later, they pursued an MBA from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, with a focus on Marketing, Corporate Strategy, and Entrepreneurship, from 2006 to 2007.
