Russell L. began their work experience in 2015 as a Machine Operator at Judson A. Smith, where they worked for two months. In 2016, they became a Research Assistant at Lafayette College for a two-month period. During the same year, Russell co-founded ARC Website Design and held the role of Co-Founder for eight months.

In 2017, Russell joined B&W Disposal, Inc. as an Associate Software Consultant, but their tenure lasted only three months. Later that year, they joined Physical Sciences Inc. as a Scientist/Engineer. Russell held this position until April 2020 when they were promoted to Senior Scientist, a role they held until January 2022.

Most recently, Russell joined Molecular Devices in February 2022 as a Field Engineer, and they are currently in this role.
