Ashley Lucas

Ashley Lucas is the Senior Technical Manager of Labs at Molecular Testing Labs. Ashley has over four years of experience working in forensic laboratories and has a strong background in DNA and Biology. Ashley is responsible for the monthly, bi-annual and annual maintenance/troubleshooting of general and specialized equipment used for extraction, quant, amplification, and data analysis. Ashley is also responsible for QC of each new kit and chemical prior to casework use, lab decontamination, restocking, and ordering. All of their work falls under lab accreditation standards and ASCLD/LAB. Ashley has a degree in Biology from Portland State University.

Ashley Lucas has a Master of Science in Neurobiology and Behavior from Portland State University, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Portland State University, and an Associate's of General Studies in Biology/Biological Sciences from Clackamas Community College. Ashley is certified in Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (ICYB) and ZapQuote Lean Simulation Training from Destra Consulting Group, LLC, and in Don't Lick This Gun (And Other Firearms Safety Tips), Firearm & Ammunition Classification, Forensic Identification, Latent Blood Detection Reagents, and Recognizing & Documenting Bloodstain Pattern Evidence from the International Association for Identification.

They are on a team with Siobhan Mckenny - Director of Quality Management Systems, Rick Waybright - Infectious Disease Lab Manager, and Kavinda De Silva - Toxicology Lab Manager. Ashley Lucas reports to Adam Blackwell, Co-Founder, Head of New Product Development & Laboratory Production.
