Principal Research Engineer at Molekule

Phil Myers is a Principal Research Engineer at Molekule, where they have been supervising research and development activities in consultation with the company's CTO in affiliated laboratory facilities at the University of South Florida since 2016.

Myers began their career as a Staff Engineer at Black & Veatch in 2007, where they served as a member of a consulting group whose primary client was the U.S. EPA. Their primary focus was cost estimation for the preparation of budgets and proposals. Phil also undertook other engineering tasks, such as the evaluation of remedial technologies and alternatives, hydrogeologic and geochemical modeling of contaminant fate and transport, design and implementation of field pilot-testing of remedial technologies, treatment system design and optimization (e.g., in situ chemical oxidation, soil vapor extraction), and resident engineering oversight.

In 2010, Myers left Black & Veatch to take up a position as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at the University of South Florida. Phil held this position until 2011, when they took up their current role as Principal Research Engineer at Molekule.

Phil Myers has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Florida, a Master of Chemical Engineering from the University of South Florida, and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware. Phil is also certified by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers as a Professional Engineer.
