Travis began their career in the US Navy as a Basic Training student in 1992 and worked as a Submarine Electronics Technician before moving on to roles such as Transportation Manager, Student, and Navigation Division Leading Petty Officer. In 2005, they transitioned to the role of Assistant Navigator and later became a Division Officer, responsible for supervising a workforce and overseeing the installation and maintenance of electronic systems.
