Niels Haastrup

Niels Haastrup currently serves as Board Chair and Chairperson of the Board at Svendborg Fjernvarme since August 2021, holding additional roles as Associate Professor in charge of maritime subjects and R&D at Fredericia Maskinmesterskole - Videncenter for Drift og Vedligehold since November 2020, and R&D Manager at MOLSLINJEN A/S while also working part-time as Chief Officer for Langelandslinjen. With prior experience as HSEQ Manager at Maersk Training and as a Senior Lecturer at Fredericia Maskinmesterskole, Niels has a strong background in quality management systems and maritime education. Earlier roles include Chief Officer and teaching positions across various maritime institutions, complemented by a diverse educational background including a Master Mariner/Marine Engineer degree and an LLM in Environmental and Energy Law.
