We're seeking a dynamic and growth-minded leader to join us in the role of Senior Manager of Accounting to lead our accounting team, overseeing all activities related to accounting functions and financial reporting. This role is pivotal in ensuring company compliance with financial regulations and maintaining the integrity of financial data. The successful candidate will bring a strategic vision to optimize our accounting processes and enhance financial performance.

As a  Senior Manager of Accounting at Momentum, your days will be dynamic and filled with opportunities to contribute to our mission. Here's a glimpse into what your overall responsibilities might look like:

  • Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial statements and reports.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Manage the full financial process, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and provide support during the audits.
  • Analyze financial data and create detailed reports for executive management to aid in decision-making processes.
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions to mitigate financial risk to the company.
  • Mentor and develop the accounting team, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.

Qualifications

We’re looking for the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, as well as federal, state, and local financial regulations.
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements and procedures.
  • Proficiency in major accounting software and systems.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and management skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Can handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment, navigating ambiguity and remaining agile.

The base salary range for this position may vary based on location. Actual compensation will be determined by role, level, and location, considering additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. For roles eligible for remote work, the base salary is tailored to the designated work location. In addition to the base salary, candidates may be eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus, determined based on both the company's business performance and individual contributions. The People & Culture team will provide specific details during the hiring process.
