Gerald Okello

Gerald Okello is a seasoned professional in the field of health services, currently serving as a Rehab and AT Technical Advisor at Johns Hopkins University/Makerere University since July 2021. Prior experience includes roles as a Community Health Management Information Systems Advisor for UHSS Activity - USAID and an Internship Trainee at the University of Antwerp, where Gerald developed tools for measuring vaccination hesitancy. Additionally, Gerald has worked as a Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at Marie Stopes International, managing reporting and data quality assessments, and as a Gender-Based Violence Data Management Specialist at UNDP, focusing on the development of electronic databases and training. Earlier career positions included M&E Officer at the International Rescue Committee and Research Supervisor at Makerere University School of Public Health. Gerald holds a Master of Epidemiology from the University of Antwerp and a Master’s degree in Health Services Research from Makerere University, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Management and a Diploma in Physiotherapy.
