Robert Villarreal

Senior Advisor/semi-retired at Momentus Capital

Robert Villarreal has extensive experience in leadership roles focused on community development and finance. Currently, Villarreal serves as a Senior Advisor at Momentus Capital while being retired since March 2024. Previously, Villarreal held the position of Executive Vice President at CDC Small Business Finance from January 2005 to August 2023, overseeing community development initiatives. Additionally, Villarreal was the Chief External Officers Officer for Momentus Capital and CDC Small Business Finance & Capital Impact Partners during the same period. Prior experience includes serving as Market Development Manager at Bank of America and as the inaugural President & CEO of the San Diego County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where Villarreal developed an award-winning procurement program and received recognition from the US Small Business Administration. Villarreal holds a BA in Anthropology and Political Science from UC San Diego and an MA in International Policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
