Ross McClymont

Ross is a partner of the global law firm Ashurst, practising in the areas of restructuring and insolvency, commercial disputes and corporate governance. Since 2015 Ross has also been the managing partner of Ashurst’s Melbourne office.

He has acted in some of the largest insolvency administrations in Australia over the last 20 years, and has developed a reputation for his accessibility and commerciality in working with his clients.

Ross is a fellow of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association (ARITA), the professional body for insolvency practitioners and lawyers in Australia. Ross was president of ARITA in 2017-2019, the first lawyer to hold this position in ARITA’s history.

Ross currently sits on the board of the Australian British Chamber of Commerce, and was previously a board member of Monash Health 2011-2017.
