Abantika Nandy has a diverse work experience in the field of environmental research and analysis. Abantika is currently working as a Senior LCA Analyst at Mondra, where they specialize in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for various food categories of UK food giants. Abantika is proficient in developing, building, and managing full life cycle inventories and assessments using OpenLCA software.

Prior to their current role, Abantika worked as an Associate LCA Research Consultant at Mondra. Before joining Mondra, they briefly served as the Chief Technology Officer at Clean Environmental Technology.

Abantika's earlier experience includes working as a Doctoral Researcher at CSIR - National Institute of Oceanography. During their doctoral research, they focused on renewable energy and successfully developed an energy-efficient process to obtain fermentable reducing sugar from marine algae for bioethanol production. Abantika also worked as a Project Assistant at the same institute, where they optimized the extraction of amino acids from marine fish waste using fish gut bacteria and molasses.

Before joining CSIR, Abantika worked at CSIR- Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, where they conducted a study on the diversity of fiddler crabs and evaluated potential pollution threats in their habitats through protein profiling and genetic biomonitoring.

Abantika Nandy pursued their Bachelor's of Science degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from Asutosh College, Calcutta University, from 2010 to 2013. Following that, they enrolled at the University of Calcutta, where they completed their Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from 2013 to 2015.
