Joyce Poot

Joyce Poot is a seasoned professional in the arts and cultural sector, currently serving as a Project Officer at Mondriaan Fund since June 2022. Prior experience includes editorial leadership roles at Kunstlicht from October 2018 to May 2022, where Joyce held titles such as Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, and Editor. Additionally, Joyce worked as a Project Manager for the Public Programme at Jewish Cultural Quarter from May 2019 to May 2022, and as Communication Manager and Artist Liaison at Galerie Fons Welters between May 2017 and April 2019. Joyce's early career includes positions as a Student Assistant at Leiden University in 2017, Cultural Programmer at Witte de With, Center for Contemporary Art, Assistant Curator at WIELS, Contemporary Art Center, and Consultant at Oxfam Novib. Joyce holds multiple degrees from Leiden University, including a Master’s in Film/Video and Photographic Arts and a Research Master's in Art History, along with a Bachelor's in Modern Art, Culture and History from Utrecht University. An exchange program at The University of Manchester enriched Joyce's academic background in Art History and Visual Studies.
