MoneySmart Group is South East Asia's leading personal financial portal helping consumers compare loans, insurance, and credit cards. MoneySmart was founded in 2009 with the simple aim to help consumers make better financial decisions. 

We are growing and we’re looking for talents to come on board our Group Finance team as a Business/Senior Business Analyst. This position is available to candidates in either Malaysia (remote) or Singapore. 

Mission

Support the day-to-day FP&A and commercial and operations support function for the MS Group with an overall mission to provide accurate and timely business and financial insights that drive strategic decisions, ensuring the organisation's financial health and supporting its overall growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist to develop and maintain financial models to forecast future performance, helping to create annual budgets and long-term  plans
  • Handle the weekly business meeting rollovers for Singapore and Hong Kong including recording and following up on action items
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of campaign performance including non financial KPIs, revenue, cost and profitability metrics. Identify recommendations for improving performance and operational efficiency
  • Support in analyzing profit and loss statements, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making. This includes preparation of variance analysis to compare actual performance against targets
  • Update and maintain the commercial sheets rollovers and business reporting decks based on the management requirements
  • Monitor the overall completeness of commercial IOs/contracts to ensure they are up to date; Communicate with key account managers on nearing expiry contracts
  • Gather, clean-up, organise and analyse large sets of financial and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities
  • Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards for business and financial insights
  • Conduct research on competitors and industry trends
  • Support automation projects such as planning and BI tools
  • Collaborate closely with other teams such as commercial, operations, product, and marketing to understand their needs and support their objectives

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant FP&A experience
  • A degree in a finance or business-related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of Google Script or other coding skills is a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including the ability to work with complex formulas
  • Organised, proactive, meticulous and with a strong sense of responsibility and ability to adhere to tight deadlines
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools, including AI applications
