Developer Advocate at MongoDB

Jorge Ortiz serves as a Developer Advocate at MongoDB since July 2021, focusing on content creation for Android and iOS apps, as well as microservices using Rust and Golang, and co-hosts the podcast Unicode(U+00D1), el Podcasto. As the owner of PoWWaU since August 2009, Jorge trains individuals and companies on application architecture and best practices involving iOS and Android advanced architectures, unit testing, TDD, CI/CD, and related technologies. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Software Development Engineer at FORM3, where Jorge developed Golang and Java microservices for payment processing, and holding various roles at HP, Dragenopharm, and Universidad de Alicante, focusing on security consulting and system administration. Jorge is pursuing a PhD in Computer Software Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and holds multiple degrees, including an EMBA from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, a BS in Computer Science from Universitat d'Alacant, and a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from Universitat Ramon Llull.
