David S. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. David currently works as a Translational Advisor at the Institute for Protein Design at the University of Washington, where they collaborate with students, faculty members, and IPD leadership to advance translational opportunities in protein design and AI. Prior to this, they served as an Advisor at Achieve Partners, focusing on skill development and the future of work for Americans.

David also co-founded and served as the Chief Operating Officer of Monod Bio. Additionally, they have been affiliated with the University of Washington School of Public Health since 1997, where they have taught courses, delivered guest lectures, advised students, and served on the Dean's Advisory Council.

In previous roles, David held positions at Neoleukin Therapeutics, Presage Biosciences, La Jolla Pharmaceutical Company, and PPD. David then transferred to the University of Washington, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Asian Studies from 1986 to 2001. Continuing their education, they earned a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the same university, graduating in 1995. David furthered their expertise in Epidemiology by pursuing a PhD in the field at the University of Washington between 1995 and 1997.

After completing their doctoral studies, David explored a different area of study by attending Seattle University's Albers School of Business & Economics. David obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2012, expanding their knowledge to the business realm.

In 2020, David enrolled in the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law for a certificate program titled "VC University - a Joint Initiative of Startup@BerkeleyLaw and the Natl.
