Ken Okamoto, FMVA®

Ken Okamoto, FMVA®, has over 15 years of work experience in finance and business planning analysis. Ken is currently the Sr. Manager of Business Planning Analysis at Monos, where they are responsible for strategic financial planning and analysis. Prior to this role, Ken served as the Financial Controller at Monos, overseeing financial operations and reporting.

Before joining Monos, Ken worked as a Business Controller at Ken One World Consulting - Life and Business, where they provided financial guidance and analysis for the consulting firm. Ken was responsible for creating business plans, budgeting, and analyzing financial statements.

Ken also has experience as a Business Planning Analyst at Alcon, a global medical company, where they contributed to financial forecasting and analysis. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Accountant and Project Leader at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where they managed accounting processes and led strategic projects.

Ken's earlier work experience includes a role as the Finance Manager and Co-founder at SAKANEKE Co.,Ltd, a start-up consulting firm in the food and beverage industry. In this role, they were responsible for implementing start-up procedures, creating business plans, and analyzing financial information for foreign projects.

Prior to their role at SAKANEKE Co.,Ltd, Ken worked as an Accountant at Salt consortium Co.,Ltd, where they managed financial transactions and maintained accurate accounting records.

Throughout their career, Ken has demonstrated strong financial analysis skills, expertise in accounting, and the ability to drive strategic decision-making.

Ken Okamoto, FMVA®, has a diverse education history. In 2015, they obtained a Diploma in Business Communication Management from Sprott Shaw College. In 2016, they pursued an Associate's degree in Business Accounting from Humber College, completing it in 2018. During this period, in 2018, they also attended the University of Guam for CPA Prep, focusing on auditing, advanced tax, corporate finance, and advanced accounting. Furthermore, in 2020, Ken completed a certificate program in Business Analytics from Harvard Business School Online.

In addition to their formal education, Ken has acquired notable certifications. In February 2020, they obtained the Certified Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) certification from Corporate Finance Institute® (CFI). Ken also has the Certified Business Intelligence & Data Analyst (BIDA)™ certification from CFI, which they obtained in May 2022.
