Irving Schacht

Irving Schacht has a strong career in the hospitality industry, specializing in safety and security. Irving began their career as a Prevencion y Control de Riesgos professional for Meliá Hotels International from 2004 to 2008. Irving then worked in a similar role at W Hotels and Westin Hotels & Resorts in 2008. In 2012, Irving joined InterContinental Hotels Group as a Coordinador de Prevencion y Control de Riesgos until 2014. Following this, they worked at Posadas as a Gerente de Prevencion y Control de Riesgos from 2014 to 2017. Irving furthered their expertise at Rosewood San Miguel de Allende as a Gerente de Prevencion y Control de Riesgos from 2017 to 2020. Most recently, they served as the Director of Services, Security, and Prevention at Sofitel Mexico City Reforma from 2020 to 2022. Currently, Irving holds the position of Director of Safety and Security at Montage Hotels & Resorts, starting in 2022.

Irving Schacht completed a Licenciatura in Administración de Empresas from COMEDU. Irving also pursued a Gestiόn Integral de Riesgo degree in Protección Civil from CENAPRED-ENAPROC. Moreover, Irving received several certifications related to Disaster Risk Management and Protection, such as "Gestion Integral del Riesgo de Desastres," "Comunicacion de Riesgos," "Evaluacion de Estructuras," and "Desastres y sus Efectos Psicologicos" from the Centro Nacional de Prevencion de Desastres and "Tecnico Basico en Gestion Integral del Riesgo" from Escuela Nacional de Proteccion Civil. Additionally, Irving pursued a certification on "Terrorism and Counterterrorism: Comparing Theory and Practice" from Leiden University. Irving has also obtained multiple professional certifications from LinkedIn in various areas such as accounting foundations, leadership, and self-awareness.
