Josh Myerson

Josh is the Head of Rating and is responsible for leading a 50+ department based in London, Manchester and Glasgow. Josh specialises in the provision of rating valuation and liability advice to landlord and developer clients in both the private and public sector. He also sits on the Firm’s Executive Committee.

As well as all main bulk classes, he is experienced in several specialist property types, including medical premises, car showrooms/supermarkets, hotels, serviced apartments, serviced offices, public houses, chemical works, laboratories, car parks, major infrastructure projects, development schemes etc.

Josh is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), an Honours Member of the Institute of Revenues Rating & Valuation (IRRV Hons) and is currently the Immediate Past President of the Rating Surveyors’ Association (RSA). He was President from 2020-2022, Vice President from 2019 and 2020, Honorary Secretary of the Association between 2015 and 2019, and has served on the Committee since 2013.

He is an Associate member of the policy committee of the British Property Federation (BPF) and a founding member of the London Rating Network (LRN).

He is also one of around 25 RICS Rating Diploma Holders operating in private practice, a member of the Section’s Committee and Education Subcommittee and teaches two modules (Rental Valuation and Practice & Procedure) on the Diploma course.
