John S. Adams

John S. Adams is a seasoned journalist and communication expert with extensive experience in investigative and political reporting. As the Founder and Editor in Chief of Montana Free Press since October 2015, Adams has established an independent news agency dedicated to in-depth coverage of Montana news. Prior to this, Adams worked as a freelance writer, specializing in technical writing, ghostwriting, and media consulting while gaining significant expertise in government, environment, and energy issues. Adams served as Director of Communications for Clean Wisconsin, overseeing media and public relations from August 2016 to August 2017. Additional roles include Correspondent for USA TODAY and Capital Bureau Chief for Great Falls Tribune, focusing on government and political reporting in Montana. Adams began a journalism career as a staff writer for various publications, contributing valuable insights and fostering open government advocacy. Adams holds a BA in English, Creative Writing, from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
