Michelle McCarthy M. Ed. serves as the Science Instructional Coordinator at the Montana Office of Public Instruction since September 2015, collaborating with educational leaders to enhance science instruction across schools. Previous roles include part-time faculty at MSU Billings, where Michelle taught K-12 science methods and technology in education from January 2011 to August 2019, and principal at Pine Creek Elementary School Dist 19, managing operations and compliance from September 2013 to November 2014. Michelle’s educational background includes a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Montana State University-Bozeman, a Master of Education in Technology from MSU-Billings, and a Bachelor’s degree in K-8 Education and Special Education from MSU-Billings. Michelle has also contributed to the development of inquiry-based science curricula and coached educators in inquiry science through the PRISM partnership.
