Liam Cheeseman is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Monte Rosa Therapeutics since April 2022. Previously, Liam held the position of Project Leader at i3S - Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde, where significant contributions included managing a research team and overseeing an FCT Exploratory Grant focused on genetic and chromosomal abnormalities in cancer cells. With a robust background in cell division, Liam gained expertise as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at both the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology and i3S, researching mammalian fertilization and meiotic processes. Liam's educational foundation includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Research from the University of Liverpool, as well as an International Diploma from Imperial College London. Notable early research experiences include internships at Université Paul Sabatier and Imperial College London, examining the roles of ion channels in cancer and the impact of DNA transcription on memory formation in honeybees.
