Madalina C. has worked in a variety of roles since 1996. Madalina began as a Research Assistant at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, followed by a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at The University of Memphis, where they designed miniaturized reference electrodes based on Ag/AgiX internal reference elements enclosed in hydrogels. From 1998 to 2002, they were a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Research Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University, where they determined metabolic rates for cancer cell lines for use in mathematical modelling of tumor formation and developed ultramicroelectrode biosensors for use in conjunction with scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM). From 2009 to 2012, they were a Technical Advisor at Conley Rose, P.C., and from 2012 to 2022, they were an Independent Contractor (Contract Technical Advisor) at the same company. Currently, they are a Strategic Scientist at Forta.

Madalina C. began their educational journey in 1991, when they earned their Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (B.Ch.Eng.) from University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, specializing in Chemical Engineering - Technology of Organic Compounds. Madalina then continued their studies at The University of Memphis, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Analytical Chemistry in 2002.
