Director Of Facilities at Montgomery College

Maurice McCambley has extensive work experience in various roles related to facilities management and engineering. Maurice started their career in 1978 as a Design Engineer at Davidson & Co. Ltd. Maurice then worked as a Production Engineer at Bombardier Aerospace from 1983 to 1986. After that, they joined South Eastern Regional College where they served as the Director of Facilities from 1992 to 2003, and prior to that, they were a Faculty Lecturer from 1986 to 1992. In 2004, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at the US Department of Agriculture. Maurice then moved on to IBM in 2005, where they worked as a Facility Manager until 2006. From 2006 to 2007, they worked at Verizon as a Director of Facilities, managing their headquarters and data center properties. Most recently, they have been working at Montgomery College since 2007 as the Director of Facilities.

Maurice McCambley has a solid educational background. Maurice earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University Belfast from 1978 to 1982. Maurice then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Industrial Engineering from the same university between 1983 and 1986. Later, they attended the University of Ulster from 1993 to 1996 and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Business Administration, Management, and Operations.

Additionally, they hold several certifications. In 1992, they became a Professional (Chartered) Mechanical Engineer (CEng) through the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) in London UK. Maurice was awarded the fellowship of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE) in 2014, and in 2015, they earned the title of Certified Education Facilities Professional from the Association of Physical Plant Administrators (APPA).
