Melissa Cameron, AICP, serves as a Senior Planner at the Montgomery County Planning Department since February 2022, focusing on housing, demographic, and spatial analysis for strategic planning and land use projects. Prior to this role, Melissa worked as a Planner for the Fairfax County Park Authority, specializing in long-range park and land use planning. Melissa also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech's Virginia Center for Housing Research. Previous experience includes positions as an Environmental Planner at Louis Berger and an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist at Kinder Morgan, as well as an Environmental Scientist at The Louis Berger Group. Melissa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies and Anthropology from the University of Vermont and a Master's Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from Virginia Tech.
