Michael Ashton DPT, ATC, OCS, SCS, FAAOMPT, CSCS, CES, PES is a highly experienced professional in the field of physical therapy and athletic training, currently serving as the Director of Player Health, Head Athletic Trainer, and Physical Therapist for the Washington Wizards since October 2020. Prior experience includes roles with the Oklahoma City Thunder as a Physical Therapist and Head Athletic Trainer for the OKC Blue, as well as tactical and traveling physical therapist positions with EXOS and Critical Connection, respectively. Michael's extensive background also features positions in various physical therapy roles at The Alotian Golf Club and OrthoRehab and Specialties Center, along with consultancy at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Michael holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Hampton University, a certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy from the Ola Grimsby Institute, and a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from High Point University.
