James Redhead

James Redhead has over 15 years of experience in the banking industry. James is currently working as an Information Security Manager at Monzo Bank since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Clydesdale Bank from October 2019 to September 2021 as a Data Privacy & Governance Business Partner. In this role, they partnered with a commercial division to ensure data privacy, quality, lineage, and governance in the bank's largest program of work.

Before joining Clydesdale Bank, James worked at Virgin Money from September 2012 to October 2019, where they held various roles. James was the Head of Data Privacy Services, overseeing operational activities and driving improvements in data privacy processes. James also served as a Data Privacy Business Partner, consulting with senior stakeholders on data privacy matters and supporting the embedding of new data privacy processes. Additionally, they worked on the GDPR Program, helping the bank with its compliance efforts.

James began their career at Northern Rock in 2004. James worked as an IT Security Analyst from April 2006 to December 2011 and as an IT Analyst from November 2004 to April 2006.

James Redhead attended Northumbria University from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained a BA Honours degree in Politics & Media. In addition to their degree, James also obtained two certifications: Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer™ (CDPSE™) from ISACA in April 2021, and Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) from ISACA in March 2021.
