Jesper Steen Andersen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jesper Steen started their career as a Fuldmægtig at Kulturministeriet, where they were responsible for cultural statistics and data processing. Jesper Steen then worked as a Konsulent at Nationalmuseet for a short period. Later, they joined Kristeligt Dagblad as a Researchansvarlig, where they were in charge of sourcing and ensuring the quality of statistics for the newspaper. After that, Jesper worked at LARM Audio Research Archive as a Projektleder, handling communication and coordination tasks for various sub-projects. Moving forward, they pursued a PhD at the Royal School of Library and Information Science, Copenhagen University, focusing on utilizing data analytics for music analysis. Subsequently, Jesper joined Royal School of Library and Information Science as a Specialkonsulent, conducting a large-scale text analysis of graduates' LinkedIn profiles. Currently, they are employed at Moodagent as the Head of Music Data, responsible for overseeing music data-related operations.

Jesper Steen Andersen completed their Master's degree in Modern Culture studies at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen from 1996 to 2007. Jesper Steen also holds a Master of Arts (MA) in the same field from 2003 to 2007.
