Geert Coppens

Geert Coppens has extensive work experience in the field of multimedia and e-learning. Geert began their career in 1991 as Education Manager for BIM, where they were responsible for course development and teaching Unix, Network Management, and TCP/IP Networking. In 1992, they joined Cisco Systems EMEA as European Education Manager, managing the EMEA Training Department and playing a major role in setting up the EMEA Training Partner Program. Geert also served as a Certification Instructor, teaching Train-the-trainer courses and evaluating and certifying candidate instructors. In 2000, they moved to Cisco Systems as Professional Services Manager. In 2001, they became CEO of Instruxion, creating multimedia e-learning content for large international customers. Finally, in 2012, they co-founded Moovly, an online platform that allows everyone to easily create multimedia content.

Geert Coppens studied at St Jozefscollege Aalst from 1976 to 1982. Geert then went on to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Mechanics and Biomedical Engineering at KU Leuven, which they completed in 1987. Geert also holds a Prince2 Project Management certification.
