Adam Vedra

Adam Vedra has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Adam currently works at Moran Technology Consulting as the CISO & Senior Consultant, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this role, they had a significant tenure of five years at Calvin University, where they served in various leadership positions. These include Associate CIO and Chief Information Security Officer from January 2018 to January 2023, Director of IT Infrastructure & Chief Information Security Officer from September 2013 to December 2017, and Chief Information Security Officer - CISO from January 2011 to August 2013. Adam also worked as a Systems Engineer from May 2003 to December 2010 and as a Technical Support Analyst from June 2001 to May 2003 during their time at Calvin University.

Before joining Calvin University, Adam Vedra gained experience as an IT Support Specialist at Fifth Third Bank from June 1999 to May 2001. Additionally, they contributed to the field of education by working as a Faculty member at EDUCAUSE since July 2022 and as an Adjunct Faculty at Calvin University from February 2016.

Adam Vedra completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History at Calvin University. Adam then pursued a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Michigan-Flint. In terms of certifications, Adam obtained the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from GIAC in September 2011 and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in October 2012. Adam also completed the Educause Institute Management Program from EDUCAUSE in February 2014 and the New Managers Institute Thought Leader certification from EDUCAUSE in September 2022.
