Jon Black

Jon Black, Ed.D., currently serves as the Director of Secondary Education and Director of College and Career Ready at Moreno Valley Unified School District since February 2021. Prior to this role, Jon held various educational leadership positions including Middle School Principal at Mountain View Middle School and Elementary Principal within the same district. Experience also includes serving as an Adjunct Professor at California State University San Bernardino and as an Assistant Principal at both Tustin Unified School District and Riverside Unified School District. Early career experience encompasses a teaching role at Val Verde Unified School District, specializing in social studies. Jon Black has advanced academic qualifications, holding a Master of Arts in Social Sciences, and an educational leadership credential, culminating in a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from UMass Global.
