Gema Alava is a cultural adviser at the World Council of Peoples for the United Nations since August 2012, focusing on promoting awareness and implementation of UN goals through various educational initiatives. As the founder and executive director of Gema Alava Studio, established in May 2010, Gema Alava engages in artistic projects that support social practice within the UN framework. Gema Alava has authored several books, including "Cómo perder el miedo dentro de un museo" and "Tell Me The Truth 2008-2013," and has held roles as a lecturer and museum educator at prestigious institutions such as The Morgan Library & Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Guggenheim Museum. Gema Alava's extensive education includes degrees from institutions such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, and the San Francisco Art Institute.
