Jason Friday

Jason Friday has had a successful career in intellectual property law, with experience spanning various industries and roles. Jason started their career at Alston & Bird LLP in 2008 as a Senior Associate in IP Litigation, gaining expertise in diverse technology areas such as wireless telecommunications and medical devices. After six years, they joined Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP in 2014 as an Associate, focusing on patent prosecution and counseling in a wide range of technology areas. In 2017, Jason moved to Lenovo as a Senior Counsel, where they specialized in intellectual property. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Morning Consult as the Managing Director and Intellectual Property Counsel. Throughout their career, Jason has built a strong foundation in patent analysis, litigation, contracts, and settlement agreements. Jason has demonstrated skills in patent counseling, application drafting, and prosecution practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

From 2005 to 2008, Jason Friday attended The George Washington University Law School, where they obtained a J.D. degree in Law.

In 2007, they also attended the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition and Tax Law, where they studied International Intellectual Property.

Prior to that, from 2000 to 2004, Jason Friday attended Clemson University and earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.

In terms of additional certifications, Jason obtained the North Carolina State Bar certification from the NC State Board of Examiners in August 2008. Jason also obtained the U.S. Patent Bar certification from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in March 2008.

Furthermore, in April 2022, Jason acquired a certification in Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging from LinkedIn.
