Tyler Drombosky started their work experience in 2013 as a Research Associate at RAND Corporation. From 2009 to 2014, they were a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Maryland, focusing on computational fluid dynamics with applications to geophysics. During this time, they researched and developed a highly efficient and scalable programming framework in C to simulate thermal and kinetic evolution of magma oceans at the micro-scale. In 2014, they joined Fugue, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer and later became a Managing Principal Engineer from 2016 to 2019. Since 2019, they have been working as a Staff Engineer at Morning Consult.
Tyler Drombosky received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics from Youngstown State University. Tyler attended Youngstown State University from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they attended Boardman High School from 2001 to 2005. Tyler furthered their education at the University of Maryland College Park from 2009 to 2014, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computation.
