Sarah Helwig has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Sarah started their career as a Project Assistant in Real Estate Tax Appeals at Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP from February 2012 to April 2014. Sarah then worked as an English Teaching Assistant at Académie de Versailles through the Teaching Assistant Program in France USA from October 2012 to May 2013.

Following that, Sarah joined Morningstar as a Product Consultant in May 2014, where they provided technical support to financial advisors and collaborated with product developers to improve user experience. In May 2015, they transitioned to the role of an Associate CMBS Analyst at Morningstar Credit Ratings, where they conducted property inspections, evaluated credit risks of commercial mortgage loans, and assisted with ratings models and Presale reports. Sarah then advanced to Assistant Vice President in August 2017, leading Thought Leadership initiatives and developing a quantitative loan scoring model for Morningstar Credit Information & Analytics. In April 2022, they assumed the role of Vice President at Morningstar Credit, where their responsibilities are currently ongoing.

Throughout their career, Sarah has demonstrated expertise in various domains such as financial analysis, data interpretation, teaching, and project coordination.

Sarah Helwig attended Dominican University from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained an MBA in Business Administration and Management. In 2011, they also briefly studied French Studies at Aix-Marseille University. Prior to that, they attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2007 to 2010, majoring in Journalism and Strategic Communication. In addition to their degrees, Sarah obtained a Diploma in Advanced French (DALF), level C1 from the French Ministry of Education, CIEP in 2021, and they also obtained a certification in Data Analytics and Visualization from General Assembly in the same year.
