Martez Reed

Martez Reed has over a decade of work experience in technical roles. Martez is currently working as the Director of Technical Marketing at Morpheus Data, a hybrid-cloud management platform. Prior to this, Martez worked as a Principal Field Solutions Developer at Puppet from 2019 to 2021. In 2018, they briefly worked at AHEAD as a Cloud Services Architect and Cloud Services Engineer. From 2017 to 2018, Martez was a Senior DevOps Engineer at Slalom Consulting. Before that, they spent three years at Kinney Group, Inc. as an Automation Engineer, where they developed Puppet modules and migrated Jenkins infrastructure to docker containers. In 2013, Martez worked as a Microsoft Network Administrator IV at CNI Technical Services and as a Desktop Analyst at Mutual Trust Financial Group. Martez started their career in 2008 at The McCann Group, where they held various roles, including Senior Engineer II, Systems Engineer, and Desktop Technician.

Martez Reed completed their education in a chronological manner. Martez obtained an A.A.S. degree in Computer Network Systems from ITT Technical Institute, where they studied from 2006 to 2008. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in IT Network Design and Management from Western Governors University, completing it from 2012 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Martez Reed also obtained various certifications throughout their career. These certifications include becoming a Jenkins Certified Engineer from the Jenkins project, a Puppet Certified Professional from Puppet, a VMware Certified Associate 6 [VCA6-CMA] in Cloud Management and Automation from VMware, a Splunk Certified Admin 6.3 from Splunk, a CompTIA Project+ from CompTIA, an EMC Information Storage Associate [EMCISA] from EMC, a Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Containerized Application Development from Red Hat, a Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) from Red Hat, an AWS Solutions Architect - Professional from Amazon Web Services, an AWS Certified Developer from Amazon Web Services, an AWS Certified SysOps Administrator from Amazon Web Services, and an AWS Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services. These certifications were obtained at different times between 2013 and 2018.
