Misha (Mikhail) Krymov has a diverse and impressive work experience. Misha (Mikhail) is currently the Co-founder and President of Morpheus XR, a role they took on in March 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Co-founder and CEO of Sleepbox, a disruptive micro-hotel concept, from January 2016 to March 2020. Additionally, Misha worked as a Research Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from September 2015 to June 2016.
Before their time at MIT, Misha was the Co-founder, CEO, and Chief Architect of Arch Group, where they led the company to prominence as a market leader through ground-breaking and high-quality architecture. Misha (Mikhail) grew the team from two co-founders to over 40 talented architects during their tenure from January 2007 to May 2015.
Misha also has experience in the publishing industry, serving as the Editor-in-Chief of Interior+design. 100% OFFICE magazine from January 2010 to January 2013. During this time, they successfully managed a glossy interior design magazine and earned recognition as the leading magazine about offices and commercial design in 2013. Misha (Mikhail) organized round tables and design competitions with international submissions.
Misha's early career involved working as a Lead Architect at GUP MNIIP Mosproject-4, one of the largest architecture companies in Russia. From January 2001 to January 2006, they played a vital role in the completion of numerous projects of varying scales, including transport hubs and convention centers with budgets of up to $250MM.
Misha (Mikhail) Krymov completed their education in the field of architecture and urban planning. In 1999-2005, they obtained a Master of Architecture (MArch) degree from the Moscow Architectural Institute (State Academy) (MARCHI). Misha (Mikhail) further pursued their academic career at the same institute from 2013 to 2015, working towards a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Architecture. In 2015-2016, they were selected for the SPURS Fellowship (Special Program of Urban and Regional Studies) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where they focused on architecture, urban planning, and leadership. Along with their education, Misha has also obtained additional certifications, including a Certificate of completion for the Project Management Workshop from PMI MassBay Chapter and the designation of Fellow of the Special Program for Urban and Regional Studies (SPURS) from MIT.
