Ritsuko Someya

Ritsuko Someya, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has a strong background in human resources and people operations. Ritsuko has held various roles throughout their career, starting in 2004 as a Manager of Human Resources and Business Operations at Asterion, a microchip high-tech startup. Ritsuko continued to advance their career, taking on positions such as Assistant Executive at Eisai Inc and Generalist of Human Resources at XTuit Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Ritsuko'smost recent role is the Director of People Operations at Morphic Therapeutic, where they lead all HR functions for a staff of over 100 employees. Ritsuko's experience includes developing compensation and benefits packages, overseeing onboarding and learning and development programs, and improving employee engagement and performance. Additionally, they have experience managing payroll, budgeting, and facilities operations.

Ritsuko Someya, SPHR, SHRM-SCP holds a Bachelor of Arts - BA degree in Sociology from the University of Rhode Island. Ritsuko obtained their Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) certification from HRCI in August 2020 and their SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM in October 2021.
