Brian Welsh

Brian Welsh has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Brian is currently serving as the Senior Director of Toxicology at MorphoSys since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Toxicology at the same company from December 2021 to June 2022.

Before joining MorphoSys, Brian worked at ToxStrategies, Inc. as a Managing Scientist from June 2021 to December 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Scientist from May 2018 to June 2021 and Scientist III from August 2014 to May 2018.

Brian also has experience at Myriad RBM, Inc. where they worked as a Corporate Development Analyst from February 2013 to July 2014, conducting industry and competitor research, performing analysis, and providing strategic information to senior management. Brian started their career at Myriad RBM as an Application Scientist from March 2010 to February 2013.

Additionally, Brian has research experience from their time as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Texas at Austin from January 2010 to March 2010 and as a Graduate Student from August 2004 to January 2010.

Brian has also worked as a Research Associate in Process Development at the American Red Cross from September 2003 to August 2004. Prior to that, they served as a Process Development Technologist III at Baxter Healthcare from May 2000 to September 2003, where they actively contributed to various projects and played a leadership role in training new employees.

Furthermore, Brian started their career as a Biological Technician at USDA-ARS, where they worked from June 1999 to February 2000.

Overall, Brian Welsh has gained extensive experience in toxicology, scientific research, strategic analysis, and process development throughout their career.

Brian Welsh has an extensive education history in the field of neuroscience. From 1996 to 2000, they attended the University of Maryland, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in both Neurobiology and Anatomy, as well as Neurophysiology. Following this, they pursued further studies at The University of Texas at Austin from 2004 to 2010, earning a PhD in Neuroscience with a focus on Molecular aspects. In addition to their academic achievements, Brian Welsh has also obtained certifications in Regulatory Affairs from the Regulatory Affairs Certification Program, becoming a RAPS Member in 2016 and again in 2021.
