Kathy de Graaf has a strong background in clinical pharmacology and scientific research. Kathy then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Chemistry from KU Leuven, where they studied from 1990 to 1992. Following this, they obtained a Ph.D. in Experimental Medicine from Karolinska Institutet, studying from 1995 to 2001.

In 2014, Kathy de Graaf enrolled at The University of Manchester and completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in PK and PD modeling and simulation, which they finished in 2017.
