Monika Baehner

Dr. Monika Baehner has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Their most recent position was as the Senior Director Head of BD Operations and Alliances at MorphoSys, a role they began in May 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Director BD&L and AM, as well as the Head of Search & Evaluation / Inlicensing at MorphoSys AG from February 2020 to April 2022.

Before joining MorphoSys, Dr. Baehner worked as the Director of Translational & Innovation Management at Definiens, The Tissue Phenomics Company from August 2018 to December 2019.

From 2005 to 2018, they held various roles at Roche Diagnostics GmbH, including Global Project Team Leader Oncology from May 2012 to May 2018, Head of Project Management Therapeutic Cell Initiative from March 2010 to April 2012, and Research Leader Protein Chemistry from April 2005 to February 2010.

Dr. Baehner began their career at m-phasys GmbH, where they worked as a Principal Research Scientist from December 2001 to March 2005. Prior to that, they served as a Research Scientist at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from June 2001 to November 2001.

Monika Baehner, PhD, earned their Diploma in Biology from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 1989 to 1996. Monika then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biology at the same institution from 1996 to 2001. In addition to their academic qualifications, Monika obtained a certification in "Scrum: The Basics" from LinkedIn in November 2019.
